Now, understandably, the Bible can be quite overwhelming at first glance!  When was the last time you used a book this large outside of a textbook in school? There may be lots of words you've never heard of before and many difficult things to understand!  

As we begin to explore this wonderful and living Book, let's quickly take a look at the nuts and bolts of the Bible.  Let's discover what all of those seemingly cryptic numbers and colons mean that are spread throughout each page.  We'll also discover how the Bible is put together, looking at the different types of books and how they relate to each other and how they apply to you.

What?!  This looks like gibberish - and you see this gibberish everywhere!  It's all throughout this website, the church bulletin and any Christian book you pick up.  What is the meaning of these words and numbers?
